Privacy Policy

This website is operated by the UIU Data Science Club (“the Club”), a student club of United International University. This policy explains what information the website collects, why, and how it is handled.

• Club membership registration: full name, student ID, university and personal email, phone and emergency phone number, trimester, school, department and a profile photo.
• Event and session registration: name, email, phone number, department, university and attendance check-ins.
• Admin accounts: name, email and login activity for Club executives who manage the website.
• Technical data: standard request logs (such as IP address and browser type) kept by our hosting provider for security and rate limiting.

• To process membership and event registrations.
• To send confirmations, tickets, certificates and Club announcements by email.
• To verify certificates and event attendance.
• To keep the website secure and prevent abuse.

The Question Bank stores past exam question papers in a Google Drive account owned by the Club. The website uses the Google Drive API with the drive.file scope only, which lets it create and manage the files it uploads itself and nothing else.

Visitors are never asked to sign in with Google, and the website does not access, store or share any visitor’s Google account data. Uploaded question papers are shared publicly as view-only links so students can read them.

The use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

We do not sell or rent personal information. Data is only shared with the service providers needed to run the website (hosting, database and email delivery), or when required by the University or by law. Approved member names and photos may be shown publicly on the website, for example on the team page.

We keep registration data for as long as it is needed for Club activities and records. You can ask us to correct or delete your information at any time by emailing club@datascience.uiu.ac.bd.

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last changed.
